Board Link for Volunteers

All nonprofits have a Board of Directors that is a governing board composed of people who believe in the mission and have the responsibility of monitoring, overseeing and providing direction in pursuit of the mission of the nonprofit. Board members are called upon to look at the "big picture" - to think strategically and make decisions that affect the long term future of the nonprofit.

Board Link is a feature of Volunteer Center's website that you can use to find opportunities to serve on Board of Directors of nonprofit agencies in Solano County. Nonprofit agencies create board position listings which you can browse and apply for. Before you can respond to board-position listings as a candidate, you must first create a Board Link profile.

To look for opportunities to serve on a nonprofit board, please check out our online listings.

If you have questions about our Board Link program, please contact Karla McCormick at (707) 422-2822 or kmccormick@helpnow.org.
